Advanced Practice Provider - Behavioral Health Services Boulder Community Health, Boulder, CO 80303 $56.59 -$84.89 an hour - Per Diem, Various shifts and hours per week *Range includes per diem differential. +$2.50/hr for evening and weekend shifts. +$8.00/hr for night shifts. Boulder Community Health is seeking an Advanced Practice Provider who provides psychiatric care to patients on Inpatient Behavioral Health unit and/or Consultation Liaison Service within the standards and practices of a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner or Psychiatric Physician Assistant. Facilitates the care of patients with acute psychiatric needs Benefits: •403(b)Retirement plan •Education assistance program •Staff Support Initiatives such as Sound Baths, Meditation, Massages, and Reiki •Free one-on-one retirement planning sessions •Employee Assistance Program offering 8 free, confidential counseling sessions for you and your family Qualifications •Current, unencumbered Colorado license as Nurse Practitioner (NP) with full prescriptive authority or Board-Certified Physician Assistant (PA). •Current, unencumbered DEA and State Controlled Substance registration. •Certificate of Added Qualifications (CAQ) in Psychiatry within 1 year of hire for both Nurse Practitioners and Physician Assistants. Responsibilities •Obtains complete medical history and physical data on patients. •Interprets and integrates data to determine appropriate diagnostic and therapeutic procedures as needed. •Performs a thorough physical exam, and records findings. Collaborates with physicians in managing acute and long-term medical needs of patients. •Orders appropriate laboratory and diagnostic procedures. •Synthesizes data to determine preliminary diagnosis and therapeutic plan utilizing principles of prevention. •Administers medications and injections as needed. Sutures minor lacerations. •Interviews and advises patients regarding health and illness prevention. •Instructs patient and family regarding medications and treatment instructions. Provides patient education and discharges patients when appropriate. •Maintains and reviews patients’ records, charts, and other pertinent information. Posts tests and examination results.
