Advanced Practice Provider Electrophysiology in Peoria

Overview JOB SPECIFICS: Will join a great team dynamic of 3 APN's with collaboration with all 21+ cardiologists in Peoria! Will have both outpatient and inpatient responsibilities When working outpatient, APN will have device clinic days which will include travel. We have multiple locations with device clinics including Peoria, Bloomington, Galesburg, Ottawa, Peru, Princeton, and Streator. Will travel with staff from our Peoria Device clinic. When working inpatient, the APN/PA will be responsible for seeing consults, discharges and follow-ups, as well as placing orders and scheduling procedures, caring for patients with any arrhythmia issue including sinus node dysfunction, heart block, atrial fibrillation and atrial flutter, SVT, and ventricular arrhythmias, and arranging follow-up appointments. Training will include how to interpret device interrogations from multiple companies, which will include ambulatory monitors, loop recorders, pacemakers, and defibrillators. Will cover general call. Currently call is about 1 weekend every 2 months and 2 weeknights per month, and 1 Friday per quarter is required. Additional compensation components may be applicable such as bonuses or incentives which may or may not be based on metric achievement. Licensed to provide either an advanced practice nursing services in the State of Illinois as issued by the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation in accordance with the Illinois Nurse Practice Act] OR [physician assistant services as issued by the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation in accordance with the Illinois Physician Assistant Practice Act of 1987 ("Act") Licensed by the Federal Drug Enforcement Administration and State of Illinois for prescribing of narcotics.
