Inova Health Fairfax Hospital is dedicated to providing exceptional mental health care within our community. We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) to join our team in our Psychiatric Units.

Position Overview:
As a Family Nurse Practitioner, you will play a crucial role in assessing and managing the health of patients in our psychiatric units. Your primary responsibilities will include conducting comprehensive health and physical assessments (H&Ps) and providing consultative support to our multidisciplinary team.

Key Responsibilities:
 

Perform thorough health assessments and physical examinations for patients in psychiatric care. Complete health and physical assessments (H&Ps) in compliance with organizational policies and protocols. Collaborate with psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans. Conduct follow-up assessments and monitor patient progress. Provide education and support to patients and their families regarding health management and treatment options. Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records in accordance with legal and ethical standards.

Qualifications:
 

Master’s degree in Nursing (Family Nurse Practitioner program). Current FNP certification and Virginia state licensure. Experience in psychiatric or mental health settings is preferred. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
