Advanced Practice Provider - MN Occupational Health

Under the supervision of a physician, the Occupational Medicine Advanced Practice Provider (Physician Assistant Certified or Nurse Practitioner) conducts a wide variety of evaluation and examination duties for the employees of client companies, including injury and illness assessment and pre-placement and fitness-for-duty examinations.  The Occupational Medicine Advanced Practice Provider also participates in the development and maintenance of educational and preventive programs related to occupational health.

This is a full-time opportunity primarily based at our St. Paul Midway and M Health Fairview - Woodbury campuses.  Monday - Friday schedule of 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM (schedule subject to change).  This position may require flexibility to float to other MOH sites as needed.

Performs and oversees episodic care for employees of client companies. Assists with the development and oversight of on-site employer services. Conducts fitness-for-duty and pre-placement physical examinations. Deals in the prevention of work-related injuries, illnesses and disabilities. Re-examines disability cases periodically to verify progress. Advises regarding community health and health-related policy issues such as benefits and product safety values. Provides professional expertise to the occupational health program to include development and review of medical standards, policies & procedures, scope, direction and planning. Participates in activities that are intended to maintain and increase market share companies as clients, including regular client relationship-building site visits. Works within legal scope of practice and consults with physicians on patient care as appropriate. Performs other duties, as assigned.
