Advanced Practice Provider - Neurosurgery
ProMedica Physicians Group (PPG) is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Advanced Practice Provider for a role with an established neurosurgery practice in Toledo, Ohio. The practice has served the Toledo area for many years and has an excellent reputation for providing high-quality, compassionate care. Job Description: Obtains complete histories and performs physical exams, formulation of care plans, ordering and interpreting laboratory and diagnostic tests and provides education to patients and their families Assists with neurosurgical consults and admissions, and with provider rounding, to include: writing notes, orders, wound care, etc. Effectively communicates and interacts with patients, families, staff and members of the community from diverse backgrounds Facilitates the coordination of inpatient and outpatient care and services Works in a collaborative team approach, with other health professionals to determine health needs of patients and families Ensures compliance with HIPAA rules and regulations and adheres to the institutional and departmental policies and procedures Highlights: Hospital inpatient only Fast paced 3 12 hour shifts 1 in 3 weekends 6 APPs + 5 neurosurgeons at TTh Rounding with the physicians & patient post-op education Working with other lines of care Consults in the ER Inpatient rounding at Toledo Hospital Epic EMR Competitive compensation and excellent benefits to include: medical, dental, vision, life insurance, long and short-term disability, 401(k), retirement options and malpractice insurance CME and Vacation Certificate of Authority to practice. Current American Heart Association (AHA) CPR certification.
