Short DescriptionJob Description: Advanced Practice Provider (APP), Cooper University Health Care- FULL TIME – ONCOLOGY (Medical and Surgical)
The Advanced Practice Nurse assumes responsibility for advanced nursing practice within a clinical specialty.
In consultation with other members of the health care team, strengthens nursing practice and promotes positive patient outcomes.
Responsibilities include clinical practice, staff and patient education, and research.
The Advanced Practice Nurse serves as a significant member of the multidisciplinary health care team in the inpatient, outpatient and community settings.
This position will be working with both surgical oncology and medical oncology to care for cancer patients receiving the most recent FDA approved therapies.
The position will include caring for patients receiving tumor-infiltrating lymphocyte (TIL) therapy and histotripsy and will be a mix of seeing patients while they are in the hospital and outpatient for follow up appointments.
Experience RequiredOncology and or surgical experience preferred.
Education RequirementsMaster's degree in Nursing (Nurse Practitioner) or Physician Assistant
License/Certification RequirementsNew Jersey - RN/APN and Acute Care certification or NJ PA license are required. American Heart Association BLS certification.
Special RequirementsSchedule Days/Hours: Full time - varies
