The Advanced Process Controls and Automation (APC&A) Engineer will be responsible for identifying, prioritizing and executing and supporting APC application for multiple gas processing facilities. In addition, the position will help strengthen the Advanced Process Controls Network for Phillips 66 Midstream by developing and using best practices, and training the site operators on how to utilize the Advanced Control and Optimization applications. Located in Houston, Texas, this position will report to the Manager – Operations Technology, Automation and Systems within the Midstream Center of Excellence organization.
Responsibilities May Include:
Partnering with the process engineering and sites operations to identify, develop and execute APC applications. Responsible for day to day maintenance, and benefit sustainment for APC applications at multiple Gas Processing facilities. Providing consulting services, including training, operations on improving their advanced applications and ensure high utilization. Developing and implementing best practice standards for increased long-term effectiveness of the APC, multiunit optimization applications and inferential predictor applications. Traveling to the sites as needed to implement and maintain APC applications. Assisting in preparing and issuing quarterly and annual progress reports including key performance metrics. Maintaining, supporting and troubleshooting interface with base process control systems. Providing consulting services to operations and engineering teams on improving operations and reliability. Vetting software updates from vendors and assisting sites with software upgrades. Participating in APC and process control peer reviews as needed. Helping in the discovery, selection and implementation of new technologies and practices for Advanced Control and Optimization.

Compensation
The base pay range for this role is $141,000 – $168,000 depending on a candidate's relevant work experience and education.
