We are currently recruiting for an Advanced Project Completion Engineer to be based in Oslo, Norway to work in a 14 - month contract with the possibility of extension.
Job Description: The Commissioning Specialist Data Interface and Transfer is responsible for planning, execution and supervision during Completion and Commissioning activities related to the delivery and integration of the Hugin A platform and is considered the overall responsible for all Commissioning of Digital Foundation and Applications and Interfaces on this technical platform.
The Commissioning Specialist Data Interface and Transfer will have a Lead role in ensuring completions and commissioning requirements of all company’s projects is carried out safely, efficiently by FFA (Fixed Facility Alliance) and ensure they meet all company’s project and operational requirements, including verification and assurance.
Roles, Responsibilities and Tasks: Contribute to the preparation phase with review and verification of documentation and drawings that are relevant to MC and Commissioning of designated systems. Provide engineering input. Estimation and planning of commissioning scope of work onshore and offshore for designated systems/equipment, including input to plan. Able to work independently to plan and execute MC follow-up and commissioning activities. Participate in MC punch outs and FATs at supplier sites. Give input to systems equipment connected to and controlled by designated systems. Deliver input and update progress into project completion system PIMS. Develop, review, and implementation of commissioning procedures. Coordinate and Interact with different departments and disciplines to ensure efficient execution of commissioning with high focus on HSSE. Identify and follow up risks and opportunities related to commissioning. Plan and call off ATS as and when required. Manage assistance personnel from contractors and other resources providing services. Ensure spare parts and special tools are available prior to execution of commissioning activities. Provide leadership to ensure that a high level of focus is maintained on health, safety, and the environment to achieve Aker BP’s expectations. Plan and coordinate commissioning assistance and support as required. Participate in discipline MC punch rounds at sites for designated systems. Plan and execute commissioning activities in a timely manner based on Commissioning plan. Ensure a smooth transition from Project to Operation. Participate in pre-start-up and performance test reviews as necessary. Participate in handover of plant and equipment to the Asset Operations team upon completion of commissioning activities. Qualification Requirements: Education: BSc. r MSc in Engineering or a related field or equivalent education / experience. Essential experience and Job Requirements: Track record of engineering competency and delivery in the Oil & Gas industry and able to demonstrate effective project management skills. Ability to engage and lead a team of professionals. Familiarity with planning tools, work management systems and document management systems. Ability to engage and lead a team of commissioning engineers & technicians. Minimum 10 years of relevant experience. Experience from Valhall's operations is of great benefit. Personal characteristics: Self-motivated with a willingness to learn from others and work with minimum direction. Strong problem-solving skills, communication skills and the ability to work well within a team. Actively seeks out expertise and best practice, related to own area of contribution. Willingly takes the lead when challenges arise. Actively promotes open and effective communication. Strong planning and organizing ability. Builds networks to enhance effectiveness and share knowledge. Looks for ways to do things better, faster, more efficiently according to LEAN principles. Focuses effort and prioritizes work to deliver business value. Good knowledge of the English and Norwegian languages (both written and verbal). Use SAFER as an inspiration / follower in daily work.
