As an Advanced Project Engineer here at Honeywell, you will play a critical role in leading and managing advanced engineering projects within the Honeywell Industrial Automation business unit. You will be responsible for overseeing the design, development, and implementation of complex projects that enhance the safety, sustainability, resiliency, and productivity of our customers' operations. Your technical expertise, project management skills, and commitment to excellence will contribute to the success and growth of our business.

You will report directly to our Project Engineering Manager and you’ll work out of our Houston, TX location on a hybrid work schedule unless directed otherwise based on project needs. For external candidates, you will be required to be onsite 100% for the first 90 days of employment.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

\n\nLead and manage advanced engineering projects from conception to completion\nProvide technical expertise, guidance, and support to the project team\nCollaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to ensure successful project execution\nDesign and develop complex systems and solutions\nConduct feasibility studies and analyze technical requirements\nEnsure compliance with industry standards and regulations\nManage project budgets, timelines, and resources\n\n

YOU MUST HAVE

\n\nBachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as the sciences, technology, engineering or mathematics.\n5+ years of experience with industrial distributed process control systems in project engineering or related role\nExperience with SCADA, PLC implementation projects\nAbility to design technical specifications\nStrong technical knowledge and expertise in advanced engineering concepts\nExcellent project management skills\nEffective communication and interpersonal skills\n
