Advanced Project Engineer - Industrial Automation

As an Advanced Project Engineer here at Honeywell, you will play a critical role in leading and managing advanced engineering projects within the Honeywell Industrial Automation business unit. You will be responsible for overseeing the design, development, and implementation of complex projects that enhance the safety, sustainability, resiliency, and productivity of our customers' operations. Your technical expertise, project management skills, and commitment to excellence will contribute to the success and growth of our business.
You will report directly to our Project Engineering Manager and you’ll work out of our Houston, TX location on a hybrid work schedule unless directed otherwise based on project needs. For external candidates, you will be required to be onsite 100% for the first 90 days of employment.
In this role, you will impact the company's ability to deliver high-quality, innovative, and technologically advanced solutions to our customers. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to drive innovation, improve processes, and achieve project objectives.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
+ Lead and manage advanced engineering projects from conception to completion
+ Provide technical expertise, guidance, and support to the project team
+ Collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to ensure successful project execution
+ Design and develop complex systems and solutions
+ Conduct feasibility studies and analyze technical requirements
+ Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations
+ Manage project budgets, timelines, and resources

YOU MUST HAVE
+ Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as the sciences, technology, engineering or mathematics.
+ 5+ years of experience with industrial distributed process control systems in project engineering or related role
+ Experience with SCADA, PLC implementation projects
+ Ability to design technical specifications
+ Strong technical knowledge and expertise in advanced engineering concepts
+ Excellent project management skills
+ Effective communication and interpersonal skills

+ Honeywell control systems experience, including ExperionPKS®, PLC
+ Knowledge of platforms and virtualization, especially Windows server/clients and VMWare
+ Knowledge of networking software and/or Cisco networks
+ Knowledge of programming languages
+ Individuals who are self-motivated and able to work with little supervision, who consistently take the initiative to get things done, do things before being asked by others or forced to by events
+ Ability to convey subtle or complex messages clearly, as appropriate for the topic and audience
