Job Responsibility:

 

·       Provides Design for Manufacturability, Assembly, and Test (DFMA&T) feedback to Engineering.

·       Executing to the program cost and schedule with Honeywell Milestone Reporting (HMR) accountability for Category 1 through Category 3 milestones

·       Executing the demonstrated rolled throughput yield at > 96% at product launch

·       Drive DTC on NPI programs – Design to Cost estimates and drive Cost reduction actions to meet UPC Targets.

·       Executing to the Obsolescence (OBS) programs capital expenditures, schedule, cost, and validation plans for program launch

·       Capital planning, Test strategy and Capacity analysis for NPI/Obsolescence (OBS) programs required for program launch.

·       Drive Manufacturability issues during initial builds to closure before OTL involving all stakeholders.

·       Provide PFMEA, DFMEA inputs and support program on PDR & CDR Milestones

·       Executing Manufacturing Readiness Level assessments per HMR schedule

·       Support Customer and Supplier communication to ensure and improve Product Quality and delivery.

·       Lead the deployment and implementation of continuous improvements based on the scope defined in the project.

·       Coordinates with Buyers, Program Managers, Manufacturers and Contract Manufacturing to ensure prototype schedule is met with product quality.

·       Act as the key interface for ISC in OBS and Value Engineering Projects.

·       Identify key cost drivers & suggest alternate low-cost manufacturing solutions.

 

Skill Requirement:

·       Good Knowledge in manufacturing process of Wire Harness, PCBA and Box Build Assembly.

·       Hands on Experience in resolving manufacturing, quality and yield related issues for commodities like PCBA, Cables, and Transformers etc.

·       Knowledge on APQP process, SPC, problem solving QC tools.

Knowledge, and experience with wide range of industry standard manufacturing processes in the EMS industry is preferred. Knowledge of IPC-A-610/620 Standards. Basic knowledge of CAD Software’s used in Electronics design.

 

Basic Qualifications and Experience:

·       Degree in Electrical/ Electronic Engineering or similar field is required, graduate degree is preferred.

·       At least 10 to 12 Years of shop Floor Experience in New Product Development / Electronics Manufacturing Process.

·       Exposure to APQP, Lean manufacturing / Six Sigma

·       Aerospace product development experience is an added advantage

Additional Qualifications:

·       Clear and concise verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate project status and program needs across different levels of the organization and different operating environments

·       Able to deal tactfully and confidently with internal, external customers and suppliers at all organizational levels

·       Drive to develop leadership skills and ability to influence and provide new ideas for design and process improvement.

·       Intermediate understanding of project management skills with the ability to close initiatives on time and within budget

·       Results focused with successful record of accomplishments through skilled use of influence, persuasion, negotiation, and problem resolution.

·       Ability to obtain DFSS Green Belt certification.

·       Excellent computer skills in MS Office tools including EXCEL, PowerPoint and MS Project.
