Job Description

ROLE OVERVIEW

Provide Quality systems support to manufacturing operations to ensure high quality products are shipped from Oshkosh North. This position provides support to the manufacturing processes by providing Oshkosh North customers with a quality product within specifications.

SCHEDULE: M-F Day Shift

COMPENSATION: $33.12/hour

WHAT YOU GET TO DO

Act as a safety leader and puts safety first in all responsibilitiesSupport and actively participate in department process improvement and safety initiativesPromotes safety culture by positively communicating safety concerns/risks to co-workers, Leads, Supervisors, Managers, visitors, and all others in the facilityImmediately notifies Co-workers, Leads, and Supervisors/Management of Quality concerns/issuesMaintain a respectful and collaborative work environmentProvides statistical analysis in support of Quality Assurance efforts and improvements in theareas of; defect trends, complaint summaries, CpK machine analysis, material efficiencies andhold ticket summaries as appropriate. – by Dept (QT)Work with department representatives to drive root cause analysis and corrective actions onquality and waste issues using continuous improvement (CI) toolsPerforms trend analysis and supports verification of external and internal Corrective/Preventive Actions.Performs Validations on all Inspection and Test Equipment. Prepares and submits reports uponcompletion of validationsConducts training for production personnel as requestedPresent monthly quality complaints, topics, and training when necessaryParticipate in the daily internal notification meetings, as neededDevelop and participate in Quality department projectsAssist the lead Operators in training operators to properly perform quality checksPerform instrument verification, calibration, cleaning and maintenance. Perform basic equipment troubleshooting and repairOshkosh North internal auditor team memberManaging the material containment processRemove material from quality hold per procedurePlace material on quality hold when requested by supervisor or managementAbility to clearly define quality defects and provide summary of possible root causesBuild and manage depart defect library “standards”Audit quality test dataImprove quality cultureSupport machine certification processEvaluating quality test scores to validate test frequency and validityPerform systems auditsPotential need to travel to customer sites for support
