Eaton’s Aerospace Mission Systems Division is currently seeking an Advanced Quality Planning Lead to join the team. This position is based at our Orchard Park, NY facility.
The Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) site lead will be overall champion of APQP and Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) activities associated with Mission Systems Orchard Park. This position is accountable for the implementation, sustainment, and proficiency of the APQP tools as defined in AS9145, the PROLAUNCH BMS system, and other Eaton requirements.
The role will be integral in setting standards and fostering a "right first time" culture. Further, you will lead multiple functional groups from the Mission Systems Orchard Park business Unit to be proficient in the use of APQP and PPAP tools.
The expected annual salary range for this role is $105000.03 - $154000.04 a year. This position is also eligible for a variable incentive program.

What you’ll do: Train, coordinate and facilitate site members on the APQP tools including: PFMEA, control plans, DFMEA, Measurement System Analysis, Process Control, 8D, Error proofing, and PPAP.Coach and mentor team members through the different tools to reach a practitioner to SME (Subject Matter Expert) level on tools used to achieve first time quality.Develop and maintain KPI’s to monitor the health of the APQP implementation and sustainment.Develop a monitoring and communication process to ensure all the key stakeholders are kept up to date with the progress of the APQP projects. Participate in PROLAUNCH NPI Gate and Milestone reviews for new product development.Apply CI to the PROLAUNCH NPI to determine and implement Improvement initiatives within the development lifecycle relating to areas of zero defects.Foster and support the Zero Defect program from EatonAdministrate and coach the use of all software associated with developing APQP and first time quality documentationQualifications:Required (Basic) Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree from an accredited institutionMinimum ten (10) years of experience using AS9145/APQP standard in a manufacturing settingMinimum five (5) years of supervisory/team lead experienceMust be able to work in the United States without corporate sponsorship now and within the futureThis position requires use of information or access to hardware which is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR).
