The Advanced Sourcing Team is an exciting up and coming group to join – filled with the latest advances in technology and critical thinking in tackling how we source best-in-class suppliers. We are supporting new programs that require a creative approach and are looking for team members who are passionate about what we do.
The Advanced Sourcing Buyer will be responsible for developing and executing global sourcing strategies, lead negotiations, and manage the end-to-end supply chain activities for multiple commodities within EV programs. With a focus on best cost and quality, you will utilize various tools, processes, analytics, and systems to lead your commodities through sourcing and development. You will interface with internal and external stakeholders to ensure that the commodity strategy represents the full potential value for the company and maintain key supplier relationships.

Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, Engineering, or business-related field. Minimum of 3+ years of experience in procurement, preferably within the Automotive industry.Even better, you may have...
5+ years of experience in procurement, preferably within the Automotive industry. Strong written and verbal communication skills and ability to lead key cross-functional relationships. Effective negotiation and ability to build and maintain relationships with suppliers. Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities with a focus on thinking creatively and out-of-the-box. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and procurement software. Knowledge of sourcing best practices and industry trends. What you'll do...
Lead sourcing initiatives for your commodities including sending RFQs, cost analytics, supplier negotiations, and contract execution. Manage the cost, quality, and delivery of commodity over program lifetime Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand their requirements and provide sourcing solutions that align with business goals. Conduct supplier evaluations and develop should-cost tools, together with engineering, to drive fact-based negotiations. Manage supplier relationships to ensure timely delivery of products and resolve any issues that may arise. Monitor market trends, industry developments, and relevant material indices to identify opportunities for cost savings and product improvements. Work directly with Engineering counterparts to understand development timelines with suppliers in great detail to enable the creation of creative commercial agreements that will help meet Ford’s commercial and cost requirements for the project Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and ethical standards in all sourcing activities. Onboard new suppliers to Ford processes including evaluation of end-to-end supply chain readiness. Promote transparency and management of entire supply chain value stream with suppliers.
