As a System Safety Engineer here at Honeywell, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and reliability of our products and systems. You will be responsible for performing safety analysis, conducting software system safety assessments, and leading failure review boards. Your expertise in system safety engineering will contribute to the development of robust safety strategies and the implementation of effective safety measures.

\nYou will report directly to our Safety Engineering Manager and work out of our Minnesota location on a hybrid work schedule.

\nYour work will help to identify and mitigate potential hazards, ensuring that our products meet the highest safety standards and comply with relevant regulations. \nKey Responsibilities

\n\n\n\tPerform system safety analysis to identify potential hazards and assess risks.\n\tConduct software system safety assessments to ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations.\n\tLead failure review boards to investigate and analyze safety-related incidents and failures.\n\tDevelop and implement safety strategies and plans to mitigate risks and improve product safety.\n\tCollaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate safety requirements into product design and development processes.\n\tProvide technical guidance and support to engineering teams on safety-related matters.\n\tarticipate in safety audits and reviews to ensure adherence to safety standards and best practices.\n\tStay updated on industry trends and advancements in system safety engineering.\n\n\n

The annual base salary range for this position is $104,000 -$130,000. Please note that this salary information serves as a general guideline. Honeywell considers various factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to the scope and responsibilities of the position, the candidate’s work experience, education and training, key skills, as well as market and business considerations.

Due to compliance with U.S. export control laws and regulations, candidate must be a U.S. Person, which is defined as, a U.S. citizen, a U.S. permanent resident, or have protected status in the U.S. under asylum or refugee status or have the ability to obtain an export authorization.

YOU MUST HAVE

\n\n\n\tBachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as the sciences, technology, engineering or mathematics\n\t6+ years of experience in systems engineering and project guidance\n\tStrong knowledge of safety standards and regulations\n\tExperience in conducting software system safety assessments\n\tExcellent analytical and problem-solving skills\n\tStrong communication and collaboration abilities.\n\n\n
