Advanced Therapy Account Manager (ATAM)
Location: Remote (Western United States) Reporting to: SVP, General Manager, North America Job summary Orchard Therapeutics is a global gene therapy leader dedicated to transforming the lives of people affected by rare diseases through the development of innovative, curative cell and gene therapies. As an ATAM, you will play a pivotal role in driving Orchard’s mission by managing a dedicated customer base, that will include one or two premier treatment centers where our groundbreaking gene therapy products are administered. You will be at the forefront of transforming patient care—identifying those in need, raising disease awareness, educating stakeholders on our innovative therapies, and ensuring seamless access to life-changing treatment for families affected by rare diseases. Requirements Key Requirements Key elements and responsibilities, including but not limited to: · Develop trusted relationships with qualified treatment centers (QTC), healthcare professionals and patient organizations. · Supporting the QTC and coordinating patient’s treatment ensuring that it adheres to what is described in the Product Manual and facilitating the exchange of the related mandatory documentation with Orchard’s Supply Chain Team · In partnership and coordination with the Medical Team, engage disease experts in individual and group interactions to accelerate patient identification and diagnosis. · Drive disease awareness and the identification of potential patient candidates for treatment with Lenmeldy® and future Orchard gene therapies · Resolve issues of access to treatment by potential patient candidates to gene therapy, in collaboration with the Market Access function · Engagewith government affairs to ensure legislative and policy priorities shared by QTCs are identified, eliminating administrative barriers for government patients · Partner with Orchard Assist/Patient Services to support patient enrollment · Plan activities and track budget in the franchise · Role-model corporate values and behaviors; foster compliance with legal and regulatory requirements and corporate SOPs, and the pursuit of the highest ethical standards · Performs other tasks and assignments as needed and specified by management regarding the strategy and operations in the neurometabolic franchise · Represent Orchard at key congresses and meetings Knowledge & Experience · 5+ years of pharmaceutical account management experience or medical equivalent · Experience launching value-priced, rare disease or specialty products in the U.S. market, cell and gene therapy experience is preferred · Ability to analyze customer needs and drive positive outcomes. · Demonstrated success in developing and executing business plans that optimize the commercial potential of products and ensure achievement of corporate objectives · Strong understanding of the billing and reimbursement process for inpatient hospital stays, specifically the medical benefit within public and private plans · Advanced business acumen including understanding of hospital economics and cost recovery needed to support innovative cell and gene therapies · Experience in a fast paced, dynamic start-up biotech environment working across a matrix organization effectively and efficiently deploying limited resources · Demonstrated consistent delivery on administrative requirements and standards, including budgets, reporting, and communication.
