Advancing Wireless Communication with Predictive Modeling and Semantic Data Interpretation

Nokia Bell Labs is the world-renowned research arm of Nokia, having invented many of the foundational technologies that underpin information and communications networks and all digital devices and systems. This research has produced nine Nobel Prizes, five Turing Awards and numerous other awards.

At Nokia Bell Labs, researchers have the opportunity to lead innovations in future communication technologies, with a strong focus on developing cutting-edge algorithmic solutions for significant advancements. Our ongoing research initiatives encompass a wide spectrum of disruptive algorithmic innovations, including artificial intelligence (AI), machine learning (ML), and mathematical optimization. 

In line with our internship's focus on advanced machine learning applications in wireless communication, interns at our AI labs near Paris will work closely with Bell Labs' experts. This interaction provides access to a wide array of resources and cutting-edge technologies. The supportive and collaborative atmosphere at Bell Labs fosters extensive professional and academic development, particularly in the specialized fields of machine learning and wireless communication. 
 

This is a unique opportunity to carry out cutting-edge research with one of the world’s leading research institutes in wireless communications. The results of this work may lead to publications in flagship conferences and journals as well as the filing of patents.

 Must have:

Currently a student in the last year of a master’s or Ph.D. program in telecommunications, statistics, Computer Science or any related field. Good background in wireless communication. Strong algorithmic problem-solving. Strong experience with Python. Knowledge of machine learning techniques (e.g., DNN, RL, etc.). Good written and verbal communication skills

 

It would be nice if you also had:

Experience with machine learning frameworks (e.g., Tensorflow, PyTorch, etc.). Demonstrated capability to develop proof-of-concept prototypes for experimenting with novel algorithms.

 

In this internship, you will immerse yourself in the development of advanced machine learning models for wireless communication. Your primary focus will be on leveraging the power of semantic data interpretation and predictive modeling to revolutionize telecommunications.
