Overview The Highlands is looking for new Adventure Activity Guides. As our newest Adventure Activity, you will be responsible for some of the most unique adventures the Resort has to offer! Guides are responsible for organizing and leading group tours on the Zip Line and training guests on the Sno-Go Ski Bikes while ensuring the safety of all guests and creating a positive experience. This is a part-time or full-time seasonal opportunity with flexible scheduling, giving you ample time to enjoy the many perks that come from working at an amazing resort! Meet, greet, and register guests. Assist and lead participants with gearing up, safety orientation, and general tour information. Perform daily, pre-use inspections of gear and course. Guide guests safely through every element of Zip Line Activities Communicate and point out items of interest included throughout the tour. Manage risky behavior and maintain control of the tour group at all times. Ensure trails, lines, gear, and equipment are maintained to standards and report any concerns. Assist in the implementation of guest activities with The Highlands Events Team and Group Sales. Contribute to the team effort by participating in Job Sharing, assuming responsibility for the cleanliness of the resort and the safety of guests and employees; participating in safety meetings; accepting diverse assignments; and maintaining a positive and friendly attitude and demeanor in all internal and external interactions. Ensure that efforts of the Adventure Department align with corporate and resort-specific initiatives and standards, including but not limited to Brand Standard Audits (BSA) and The ForeverProject. Additional resposiblilites as assigned by your manager. Qualifications Ability to traverse varied terrain. Ability to maintain composure in an emergency or high-stress event. Job specific training provided. Strongly preferred to have a valid driver’s license. Strongly preferred certification in CPR and First-Aid (On-resort training is offered) *Single Bed, no pets.
