You will be responsible for sales and related services for a wide range of clients in the Saguenay Lac-St-Jean region. This role requires proven experience as well as the ability to build strong client relationships in order to successfully negotiate and sell customized advertising campaigns using CBC/Radio-Canada assets, by combining broadcast, specialty, and digital inventory.
Key responsibilities:
Manage, develop, and increase revenues from local, regional, and national clients in the Saguenay Lac-St-Jean region.
Proactively identify, research, and create new business opportunities to expand the local, regional, and national client base and increase revenues.
Partner with the Media Creativity team to develop tailored marketing solutions, including branded content strategies aimed at supporting revenue generation and achieving client objectives.
Serve as the sales lead and collaborate on proposals from agencies, direct client interactions, and acquiring new business initiatives to ensure the achievement of combined revenue targets for both French and English platforms.
Build relationships with advertisers, advertising agencies, and industry associations.
Represent CBC/Radio-Canada at media events.
Manage client campaigns from start to finish throughout the sales cycle.
Take responsibility for all client activities with CBC/Radio-Canada.
Develop and maintain client profiles, contact lists, and purchasing history data.
Desired profile:
Qualifications:
Post-secondary degree or equivalent experience, with a focus on business, marketing, and sales
At least four (4) years of experience in integrated media sales (broadcasting, specialty channels, web platforms, and integrations)
Skills:
Proficiency in English is an asset
Knowledge of the current market in Quebec, especially the Saguenay Lac-St-Jean region
Strong interpersonal skills and excellent organizational skills
Ability to work effectively within a team
Ability to prioritize and perform well under pressure
Demonstrated initiative and judgment, with decision-making capabilities
Occasional travel to Saguenay Lac-St-Jean required
Strong computer skills
