About the Role
We are seeking an Advisor, Cataloger to oversee materials cataloging, master data management, and standardization of inventory records. This role will focus on optimizing materials data, reducing data duplication, and enforcing data quality standards to support site and regional asset management, operations and supply chain teams.
Your Role Will Consist Of:Here’s a snapshot of your day-to-day responsibilities:
Create, maintain and update materials master records in SAP to improve searchability and inventory management.Identify and eliminate duplicate material records ensuring data integrity and consistency.Collaborate with procurement, maintenance, site operations, and warehouse teams to ensure cataloging consistency across all sites.Improve data integrity and classification, implementing best practices for inventory tracking and reporting.Ensure compliance with corporate cataloging standards and governance frameworks.Support inventory control initiatives, leveraging cataloging insights to improve working capital efficiency.Provide guidance to end-users on material master best practices.Utilize SAP and data analytics tools to maintain and enhance catalog accuracy, ensuring correct classification, descriptions, and attributes.Assist in vendor and supplier collaboration, ensuring catalog data aligns with procurement and logistics needs.Support mass data updates and cleansing initiatives, using analytics and automation tools when applicable.Identify opportunities to streamline cataloguing workflows and improve data governance practices. Your Training, Skills, and Experience ChecklistWhat We’re Looking For
Education:Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Data Management, Engineering , Information Systems or a related field.Experience:Relevant background in materials cataloging, data cleansing, and master data management.Experience in inventory standardization, materials classification, and SKU optimization.Experience in in data analysis, including the ability to extract, manipulate, and interpret datasets to identify trends, inconsistencies, and opportunities for process improvement within material master data.Desirable exposure to Maintenance, Repair, and Operations (MRO) spare parts that could include experience on one or more of the following areas: warehousing, asset management, maintenance, engineering, mine operations, purchasing or inventory management.Technical Skills:Familiarity with SAP Materials module, SAP Ariba, and cataloging software.Strong analytical skills in data management and reporting,.Proficiency in Excel, SQL, or data analytics tools for data validation and reporting.For Americas located roles, bilingual proficiency in both English and Spanish is highly desirableSoft Skills:Strong attention to detail and data accuracy.Ability to collaborate across teams to ensure consistency in materials cataloging.A problem-solving mindset, focusing on efficiency and optimization.Working Conditions and LocationThis position is based at the Corporate Office in Denver (US) or in one of the following countries: Australia, the Philippines, Canada, or Mexico, with the flexibility for remote or hybrid work.

The salary range offered for this role is USD $88,000-115,500. The salary range is tied to the Colorado market for jobs performed in Colorado. The salary offer to the successful candidate will be based on job-related education, training, and/or experience. The salary offer will not be based on a candidate’s salary history at other jobs, and by law, Newmont will not seek information about salary history, and candidates should not share such information with Newmont.
This role will be eligible for participation in a discretionary annual bonus program, pursuant to which an employee may be awarded a percentage of their salary based on the company’s performance and their own individual performance.
