**Phillips 66 & YOU - Together we can fuel the future** The **Advisor, HR Projects & Initiatives** will play a pivotal role in managing various HR projects and the overall HR portfolio as a member of the HR PMO. The HR PMO integrates project, program, and portfolio management functions to drive organizational success by aligning initiatives with strategic objectives and optimizing resource utilization. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the effective planning, management, and execution of HR projects while ensuring they are aligned with strategic objectives and drive business value. This role involves collaborating with various stakeholders including senior leadership within and outside HR, HR COEs, IT partners, and external vendors. The role is based in Houston, TX. **Responsibilities May Include:** + Plan, coordinate and execute projects including defining project scope, objectives, setting budgets, and develop project plans outlining timelines, milestones, and deliverables. + Manage the entire project lifecycle, including initiation, planning, execution, monitoring, control, and closure. + Provide support, guidance, and governance for individual projects, including project scheduling, resource allocation, risk management, and reporting with a focus on executing projects successfully. + Monitor project progress, track milestones, and report on project status to stakeholders and leadership. + Effectively communicate project expectations and updates to team members and large groups of stakeholders and gather feedback to inform decisions. + Coordinate efforts across multiple projects within a program, ensuring alignment with program goals. + Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify HR project requirements, resources needed, and stakeholders' expectations. + Provide the HR Project Governance Board (PGB) a view into active projects, status and resourcing. + Ensure consistency in project management practices within the HR function by establishing, implementing and advising on best practices, standards and methodology. + Drive standardization and develop internal playbooks for various project types including new technology implementations, mergers, acquisitions, asset closures and divestitures. + Develop and enhance HR portfolio management governance approach and practices including maintaining process knowledge and project management tools. + Stay current on project management best practices such as AI advancements in the field. + Ensure HR project management practices are compliant with regulatory requirements and company policies, including global privacy regulations. **Required Qualifications:** + Legally authorized to work in the job posting country + Bachelor's Degree + 3 or more years of project management or consulting experience **Preferred Qualifications:** + Proficient in project management methodologies, tools, and software + Master’s Degree, Professional HR certification, Project Management (PMP) or Scrum certification + Previous work experience in Human Resources + Strong understanding of HR principles, processes, and best practices + Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills + Ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and work effectively under pressure + Analytical mindset with the ability to solve problems and make data-driven decisions + Strong attention to detail, deadlines, and constraints + Demonstrated ability to collaborate with diverse teams and stakeholders across the organization + Some knowledge of change management principles and methodologies + Previous experience working with company confidential information + Willingness to question requests and advise alternative recommended options + Ability to work effectively with large teams + A self-starter with strong initiative and commitment to superior performance and continuous improvement **Total Rewards** At Phillips 66, providing access to high quality programs and care for you and your family is important to us.
