Advisor, Marketing (Public Relations and Communications)
The Advisor, Marketing (Public Relations and Communications) will be responsible for managing community relations, internal communications and the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) program for OFG Bancorp. This role will ensure effective communication strategies are in place to enhance the bank’s reputation and engagement with both internal and external stakeholders. Position works hybrid, based in San Juan, PR. MAJOR DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: + Develop and maintain relationships with community stakeholders. + Plan and execute community outreach programs and events. + Serve as the primary liaison with journalists in the Puerto Rico and USVI markets. + Collaborate with the Human Resources team to support internal communications projects, including the volunteer program. + Develop and implement internal communication strategies to enhance employee engagement and information dissemination. + Act as a liaison between employees and management to ensure effective communication flow. + Execute the bank’s CSR program in alignment with corporate goals. + Plan and manage corporate events as part of the public relations activities. + Monitor and report on the impact of CSR initiatives. + Serve as support to the PR Manager. + Collaborate with various departments to ensure cohesive communication strategies. + Support creation and distribution of press releases and other media materials. + Support events coordinator and content strategy to amplify community + Other duties may be assigned. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: + Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Public Relations, Communications, or related fields required. + Five (5) years of experience in public relations and/or communications.
