Job Description
Coordinates and manages activities related to quality management/performance improvement and safety for the quality management programs across the organization. Ensures the achievement of clinical goals and strategic operating plans and objectives. Promotes effective patient safety and performance improvement initiatives to improve processes and outcomes of patient care.
Job Responsibility
Provides strategic advice and guidance to the Quality Management and Performance Improvement function. Provides oversight to the quality management/performance improvement/safety programs. Serves as liaison to support implementation and integration of performance; quality improvement processes to optimize patient outcomes, enhance operational effectiveness, and facilitate healthy communities. Monitors timely and accurate quality data reporting to regulatory agencies as required; collaborates with the monitoring of performance data, identifies improvement trends, and opportunities. Identifies opportunities for improvement in quality management programs to maintain/escalate quality and efficiency; identifies areas for improvement while objectively measuring outcomes; participates in site/service line quality committees, as applicable. Helps to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulatory requirements. Participates in root cause analysis studies and performance improvement activities with risk reduction strategies to mitigate or prevent adverse events when applicable. Participates in due diligence site surveys as appropriate; maintains current knowledge of regulatory agency requirements pertaining to quality assurance/performance improvement activities. Conducts site visits and educates to ensure continued survey readiness as appropriate; maintains and ensures confidentiality of quality assurance documents in accordance with statutory regulations. Ensures compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and contracts; assists in the review, revision, development, coordination, and integration of policies and procedures as needed. Job Qualification
Bachelor of Science in Nursing required. Current License to practice as a Registered Professional Nurse in New York State required, plus specialized certifications as needed. 10+ years of relevant experience and 2+ years of leadership / management experience, required.
