Advisor, Regulatory Compliance (Corporate Compliance)

The Advisor, Regulatory Compliance (Corporate Compliance) is responsible for the regulators reviews and examinations (Regulators), government sponsored entities reviews, issue tracking monitoring and management, and continuous monitoring reporting. Position will be working hybrid based in Oriental Center building, San Juan, PR.
Main Duties & Responsibilities
+ Coordinate all Regulators and reviews. Receive and distribute examinations communications and notices; assign and organize information requests; share and deliver information using secure means. Promotes effective communication with regulators, examiners, and management.
+ Coordinate the preparation of management action plans to respond to Regulators and recommendations and observations. Coordinate meetings with management.
+ Track and monitor regulators possible recommendations during field work and ad hoc requests.
+ Monitors and track issues identified by monitoring and testing, internal audit unit, quality control unit, Regulators, GSEs, Regulatory Filing Unit, Trust Compliance Unit, SOX, complaints, and others.
+ Request and document issues status , monitors target due dates and coordinate extensions and validations. As necessary, escalate challenges to complete action plans and target dates. Ensure timely response and submission of information requested by regulators and examiners.
+ Maintains and update issues recorded in the ticket systems (P360 or OSR). Track, monitor and record issues self-identified by management. Prepare examinations and reviews summaries and issue tracking status reports for presentation in committees. Prepare agreed key risk indicators and track enforcement actions in coordination with ERM. Perform other duties related to the management of examinations.
+ Other duties may be assigned.
Minimum Requirements:
+ Bachelor’s degree required. Backgrounds in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting preferred.
+ Three (3) years of experience in Audit, Quality, Accounting or related required. Banking experience required. Compliance experience preferred.
+ The minimum education and experience required can be substituted with the equivalent combination of education, training, and experience that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
+ Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and Spanish with a demonstrated ability to write communications clearly, concisely, and effectively required.
+ Ability to read, analyze and interpret government regulations, trade journals and legal documents required.
+ Able to respond to common inquiries from regulatory agencies, and external consultants required.
+ Innovation and flexibility for meeting the demands of an ever-changing economic market required.
+ Excellent computer skills, including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Power Point) required.
+ Analytical, proactive problem solving, organized, detail oriented and able to multitask observing the defined quality standards.
