The Advisor, Retail Banking (Project Management) leads and oversees projects within the Auto Loan and Mortgage divisions, ensuring timely execution and successful outcomes. Monitor audit requirements timely response and action plan execution. Position works hybrid based in San Juan, PR.
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
+ Monitor and ensure the completion of project tasks by following up and tracking progress.
+ Communicate effectively in both English and Spanish, both verbally and in writing, to engage with diverse stakeholders and outside vendors.
+ Receives audit notifications, communicates requirements to specific business areas, collects data and information.
+ Maintains control over all audit issues and ensures the action plans are duly documented and managed.
+ Serve as a liaison between bank support departments and business units, facilitating smooth communication and resolving issues.
+ Support business lines by ensuring all deadlines and performance goals are met or exceeded.
+ Analyze data, reports, and trends to make recommendations and provide insights that drive strategic decisions.
+ Develop and maintain strong relationships across departments to promote collaboration and operational efficiency.
+ Identify opportunities for process improvement and work with teams to implement solutions.
+ Prepare reports, presentations, and updates for senior management
+ Collaborate with business units by communicating changes and updates to Policies, Guidelines and procedures for all Team members.
+ Other duties may be assigned.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
+ Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Project Management, Industrial Engineering or related field required. Project Management certification is highly desirable.
+ Five (5) years of relevant experience in project management required. Experience in a highly regulated industry preferred.
+ Minimum education and experience required can be substituted with the equivalent combination of education, training and experience that provides the required knowledge skills and abilities.
+ Analytical mindset – ability to interpret data, identify trends, and drive insights.
+ Project leadership experience – proven ability to manage initiatives from start to finish (deadline driven).
+ Strong communication skills – ability to convey complex information clearly to different audiences, and Interpersonal skills – ability to build relationships and collaborate effectively across teams.
+ Experience in banking, financial services, or a related field preferred.
+ Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook), reporting systems and other business applications required.
+ Bilingual – English and Spanish (verbal and written) required.
