What will this role entail?As an Advisor Consultant, you will focus on generating new business in your assigned territory while providing business development support to the designated Senior Advisor Consultant (External Wholesaler). You will also partner with the broader sales organization to drive sales and enhance client relationships within the Primerica Sales Team.
What is the Advisor Consultant responsible for?The Advisor consultant is responsible for driving growth in Franklin Templeton Mutual Fund and Managed Account gross and net sales, market share, and product diversification through a data-driven business planning process, client segmentation, and consultative selling approach within the Primerica Channel, and in collaboration with your Senior Advisor Consultant.
What are the ongoing responsibilities of an Advisor Consultant?Cultivate and manage relationships with Financial Advisors and Centers of Influence by delivering sales ideas, market intelligence, key product information, and value-added education through phone calls, screen sharing, digital communication, and in-person/virtual meetings and presentations.
Implement a proactive outreach strategy to support and develop both new and existing relationships, leveraging data-driven approaches to educate Financial Advisors on Franklin Templeton’s products and solutions.
Collaborate with Franklin Templeton representatives in DCIO and VA/Sub-Advised channels to create referral opportunities and strengthen the brand across channels.
Utilize CRM systems and technology to execute territory business plans, track interactions, and cross-sell opportunities.
Partner with the assigned Senior Advisor Consultant to execute territory business plans, delivering needs-based solutions to increase assets under management.
Stay informed on market trends, support strategic sales and marketing campaigns, and deliver presentations promoting Franklin Templeton’s products, services, and value proposition.
Adhere to compliance regulations and ensure proper use of approved marketing materials and licensing.
Continuously develop industry and product knowledge through training, while demonstrating professionalism and ownership in all interactions.
Participate in team training, engage with internal and external audiences, and travel with the Senior Advisor Consultant as needed.
What ideal qualifications, skills and experience would help someone be successful?Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required.
2+ years of sales experience within a financial services firm.
Exceptional communication, consultation, and listening skills to identify opportunities, suggest solutions, and manage complex client discussions.
Extensive knowledge of investment products, financial concepts, and capital markets, with the ability to discuss a wide range of investment topics, including asset classes and fixed income solutions.
Strong commitment to continuous learning and self-improvement.
Data-oriented and analytical, with the ability to apply insights to the sales process.
Driven for success in a fast-paced, incentive-driven environment.
Enthusiastic team player and self-starter with strong multi-tasking, assessment, and prioritization skills.
CRM experience
FINRA Series 7 & 63 required.
Occasional travel (up to 25%) required.

Along with base compensation, other compensation is offered such as a discretionary bonus, 401k plan, health insurance, and other perks. There are several factors taken into consideration in making compensation decisions including but not limited to location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. At Franklin Templeton, we apply a total reward philosophy where all aspects of compensation and benefits are taken into consideration in determining compensation. We expect the salary for this position to range between $65,000.00-$75,000.00
