This is a non-union positionEnbridge is seeking an Advisor in Power Accounting. This position is primarily responsible for the Tidal Power regular operation process ensuring the critical payments are accurately and timely made and monthly reconciliations done properly.

What You Will Do:
Coordination with other partners such as Front Office, Tidal banking team and other departments as needed. Support ad-hoc projects as needed.
Support the Power commodity invoicing and settlement process, which includes entry of weekly payments, monthly power pool/FCM reconciliation, investigation and resolution of discrepancies, accurate, timely and efficient month-end close procedures.
Work with technology partners to problem solve and develop efficient/effective technology-based solutions to enhance effectiveness and efficiency.
Find and coordinate solutions through communication with cross-functional units in Energy Marketing and external counterparties.
Assist with development, documentation, and effective operation of financial controls, ensure controls are performed timely and operating effectively.
Support colleagues under tight deadlines and take on ad-hoc tasks.
Who You Are:
A University degree in a related financial field, or related power/gas proven experience preferably in accounting, finance, or computer (data) science field.
4 or more years of relevant working experience in a financial environment.
The ability to think “creatively” to propose, develop, and implement technology-based process efficiencies and relevant reporting solutions.
Understanding of finance, electricity markets and settlement/financial reporting processes.
Professional designation (CPA, CFA) preferred, or an equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered
