The safety & sustainability performance support center provides comprehensive, data-driven support that enables delivery of enterprise-wide safety and sustainability solutions and improvements across all sites.

Enhance safety and sustainability by leveraging data to identify risks and opportunities, drive technical solutions, improve performance, develop digital innovations, and ensure informed decision-making
 

Essential Duties

Governance Data Management & Accuracy 

Administer S&S Systems Data & Records – Work closely with sites and business units to ensure all safety and sustainability data is accurately recorded, validated, and maintained within S&S systems.  Monitor Data Quality & Accuracy – Review, assess, and challenge inconsistencies or gaps in S&S systems data. Work with site teams to correct errors, improve data accuracy, and ensure compliance with reporting requirements.  Administer Data Collection & Reporting – Work closely with site teams to gather, organize, and compile safety and sustainability data for SME analysis, enterprise reporting, and regulatory submissions.  Monitor & Improve Data Collection Methods – Identify opportunities to refine data collection processes and suggest improvements to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and usability for site and enterprise teams. 

Operations Excellence 

Compliance & Governance  

Follow S&S Business Processes & Compliance Standards – Adhere to and enforce established S&S disciplines governance procedures, ensuring all safety and sustainability data aligns with company policies and regulatory requirements.  Complete Record Closures & Follow-Ups – Actively track and follow up on outstanding S&S systems records, ensuring timely completion and closure of safety-related tasks, incident reports, and compliance actions.  

Training & Support 

Deliver S&S Systems Training & User Support – Provide structured training sessions to site administrators and business unit personnel on how to effectively use S&S systems, including data entry, extraction, and reporting.  Complete S&S Site Admin Coverage – Provide temporary administrative support at sites when regular S&S site administrators are unavailable.  

 

 

Essential duties

System Updates & Improvements  

Implement System Updates & Testing – Assist with system testing, troubleshooting, and rolling out new S&S systems functionalities or updates. Support business units in understanding and adapting to system changes.  

Reporting & Decision-Making  

Deliver Regular Reports & Support Decision-Making – Compile and submit routine safety and sustainability reports to business units and enterprise stakeholders to support informed decision-making at all levels of the organization. 

Safety & Sustainability 

Optimizing Safety & Sustainability Performance Through Data-Driven Solutions Envision and solve safety and sustainability performance challenges by analyzing data, identifying trends, and developing proactive solutions to enhance operational efficiency and drive continuous improvement. Recommend Functional System Changes for Optimization – Analyze current systems, identify opportunities for functional improvements, and recommend changes to enhance compliance, reporting accuracy, and operational efficiency. 

Strategic Communication 

Effectively communicate safety and sustainability performance insights by delivering clear, data-driven narratives that inform decision-making, drive accountability, and support continuous improvement.  Training & Experience

Knowledge
•Professional degree, preferably in sustainability, engineering, business, geoscience, finance, information technology or other related field.
•Working knowledge of applied data management and reporting concepts, methodologies and tools; and applicable software products.
•Awareness of safety and sustainability (environment, social responsibility, health and safety) areas of management and associated risk and opportunity management, in the resources industry preferred.

Technical Skills:
•Primary skills  include data monitoring and delivery of data as information to the business.
•For this Advisor role, the applicant must demonstrate understanding of these areas. 
•Proficiency required in the application systems, processes and activities of the S&S Performance Support Center.
•The role also necessitates ability to educate and support operational teams, including the ability to carry out specific activities using appropriate tools and processes to achieve defined business outcomes.
