Join the Pediatric Emergency Department Team at Advocate Children`s Hospital in Oak Lawn! 

Work with an experienced team of pediatric emergency physicians, advanced practice clinicians, and nurses who take a family-centered multidisciplinary & collaborative approach to treating the patients. 
•    Full time position with12-hour shifts. 
•    Split pediatric ED coverage at Advocate Children`s Hospital in Park Ridge. 
•    Prior Pediatric NP work experience required in the emergency department 
      setting caring for the pediatric patient population. 
•    The ideal candidate will have an enthusiastic approach to providing care for 
  children in our busy Pediatric Emergency Department setting and 
  demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills

Position Requirements:

Masters of Nursing Degree as APRN/CNP2 years RN experience preferred1 year APRN~CNP experience in the relevant setting preferredWell-developed interpersonal and communication skillsProficiency with an Electronic Medical RecordNational certification as a CNP from an accredited bodyCurrent Illinois APRN LicenseCurrent Illinois Registered Nurse licenseCurrent Illinois Controlled Substance License within 6 months of hireEligible for DEA registration Possession of a current DEA Registration within six months of hire and may vary based on practice siteCurrent BLS CertificationCurrent PALS/ACLS certification may vary based on practice siteTravel may be requiredAbility to work varying hours and shifts to meet the needs of Advocate Health Care.Ability to work under stressful conditions and in difficult situationsAble to respond quickly to patient needs and work at a fast paceRoutinely works with potentially infectious specimens and patientsWork environment includes probability of exposure to adverse hazardous or unpleasant conditions while caring for the sickThis position can recognize needs and behaviors of a variety of patient age groups i.e. understand child growth and development
