KBR has an exciting opportunity for an EA-18G and Electronic Warfare Subject Matter Expert to support the Airborne Electronic Attack (AEA) Integrated Project Team (IPT) at Naval Air Warfare Center Weapons Division (NAWCWPS) Point Mugu, CA operations. The candidate will function as the AEA Principal Systems and Liaison Engineer.
Roles and Responsibilities
The AEA Principal Systems and Liaison Engineer will support development, integration, and test of EA-18G Electronic Warfare (EW) systems and operational concepts. This may include but is not limited to the following tasks.
Participate in development and evaluation of EW system and subsystem level requirements.Participate in EW system and subsystem level development, integration, and test.Work closely with engineering teams to provide input to various documents, (requirements, designs, test procedures, presentations, etc.), develop and document test points and test procedures.Develop and evaluate operational systems concepts.Collaborate with the integration and test team members to conduct Threat Analysis to develop electronic warfare techniques.Actively participate in EW briefings and training of fleet personnel.liaison between US Navy Operational Squadrons, TYCOMS and the Airborne Electronic Attack (AEA) Integrated Project Team.Candidate will also provide feedback and work with product developers, OEMs, fleet and T&E aircrew, and other analysts in identifying problems, recommending solutions, and closing deficiencies. These activities have a direct impact on fielding improved and new EW capabilities for the US Navy.The candidate will participate in review boards, status meetings, and coordinate with internal/external agencies and customers.Candidate will participate in team meetings attended by other integration and test organizations, system developers, and other contractors, perform data analysisRemote work location opportunities when near a US Naval Air or Sea Base (Whitbey, PAX, San Diego, China Lake etc.)
Basic Qualifications
U. S. Citizenship and active Top Secret Security Clearance with current or past access to SCI level information.Bachelor’s degree in engineering or applied science and minimum 15 years of relevant experience, preferably with an advanced engineering degree.Experience as an EA-18G Pilot or Electronic Warfare Officer (EWO).Requires at least ten (10) years of experience in an engineering capacity, three (3) of which must be specifically with EA-18G EW platforms, subsystem and or component development.Demonstrated knowledge of EA-18G EW systems engineering, and systems development, integration, and test.Proficient in MS Office Applications (MS Word, PowerPoint, Excel, MS Project).The candidate will work within an integrated government/contractor team.Basic Compensation:
$134,000-175,000
The offered rate will be based on the selected candidate’s knowledge, skills, abilities and/or experience and in consideration of internal parity.
