AEM Developer

The Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) Web developer’s main responsibility is developing the eagle.org website using the Adobe Experience Platform (v6.4-6.5x). Daily functions consist of: 1) addressing and/or modernizing legacy codes; 2) streamlining processes; and 3) extending content author service’s ability to deliver a consistent brand implementation across ABS digital assets. 

What You Will Do:

Provide development support and implementation to extend and standardize authoring components and templates to increase consistency and productivity. Troubleshoot and resolve authoring bugs researching content components, containers and fine-tuning cascading style sheet (CSS) for components and responsive web pages. Configure and set up AEM workflows, Sling mapping, multi-site, multi-language including translation services. Optimize search results/ranking leveraging search vendor capabilities. Work with the internal application team, software development teams and vendors to support AEM integration with internal and external marketing technology applications. Perform code/peer reviews, validation and testing within the hub. Assist author-personalized, dynamic-driven content as needed in a shared service setting. Help shape page layout and site organization, inclusive of capability and technical architecture. Provide site maintenance and support.

What You Will Need:

Education and Experience

Bachelor’s degree in computer sciences or an equivalent of 7+ years’ experience working with AEM  3-5 years of experience, preferably AEM certified developer Extensive experience with Adobe Experience Manager and AEM Core components (Example: CRX, WCM, CQSE, Sling, OSGi, JCR, Dispatcher), preferably with AEP 6.5x on cloud. Minimum 2-3 years of CQ 5/Adobe AEM 6.4+ development experience, or a combined 5+ years of WCM/CMS developer experience in Sitecore, Hybris, Oracle/ATG and IBM WebSphere Experience in SOA, SOAP, XML, XSL, Webservices Experience in Digital Agency development and delivery support model

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Java (CQ5, OSGi, JSP, REST/SOAP Servlets) and front-end development (HTML, JS, CSS, jQuery, Bootstrap, etc.) background with experience building and maturing Mobile First user experiences.  Working knowledge in integration with components of Adobe Experience fragment and standardizing analytics data collection (including Adobe Target, Adobe Analytics and Google Analytics). Hands-on experience with Sightly (AEM Templating language) and typical UX/UI frameworks (i.e. Figma). Ability to fine-tune AEM applications for optimal performance, including configuring Threads, Heap, Garbage Collection Policy. Front End Optimization, JS and CSS minification and optimization. Some experience with AEM workflows setup with digital media development, automated processing (Dynamic Media Scene7), review and approval, plus maintenance. SDLC and CI/CD processes managed through JIRA, Maven, Eclipse, Jenkins, GitHub, Artifactory, Apache Sling, etc. Familiar with application profilers.

It Would Be Nice If You Had

Adobe AEM/CQ experience preferred.
