Job Description We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled NMS Specialist to manage and optimize the Network Monitoring System (NMS) for multi-vendor environments. The candidate will be responsible for supporting all necessary activities related to the NMS, including software upgrades, system expansion, and network dimensioning. A solid background in IT Network Architecture is preferred to ensure seamless integration and adaptability across platforms.

 DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

1. NMS Administration and Management

System Maintenance: Ensure the reliability, availability, and performance of the NMS platform across multi-vendor networks. Provide support to fundamental guidelines and high-level design on NMS such as MAE Taishan and NetActVendor Management for NMS Builds and DevelopmentsSoftware Upgrades: Plan, test, and execute software upgrades and patches to maintain the NMS's operational integrity.Capacity Management: Perform system dimensioning to ensure the platform can handle current and future network loads efficiently both for Huawei (MAE Access U2020/Trace Servers) and Nokia NMS (NetAct/DCAP servers- Megamon/Megaplexer/nTracer)Reporting: Generate periodic reports on system performance, capacity, and issues for internal stakeholders.

2. System Expansion and Integration:

Network Expansion Support: Oversee the configuration and addition of new network elements to the NMS.Integration: Ensure smooth integration of the NMS with new and existing IT and network systems.System Improvements: Identify and implement enhancements to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the NMS.

3. Security and Compliance:

Ensures NMS comply with security policies and requirements. Implement security best practices and firewall policies and access configuration controls

4. Collaboration and Documentation: Maintain comprehensive documentation of system configurations, processes, and updates.Work closely with multiple vendors to manage escalations and resolve platform-specific issues.Coordinates with other groups within the organization for strategic planning and implementation.Facilitate and conduct training on the use of NMS platform tools within NTG group to maximize utilization of network-tools.

5. Strategic Contributions:

Budget Support: Provide inputs for budgeting related to NMS upgrades, licensing, and expansions.Project Management for Delivery and Build of New NMS/EMS/RF Engineering ToolsCounter Management: Activate and configure network counters to enable comprehensive network performance analysis.Provide support for access RFP  and PoC’s of other groups within NTG that requires wireless Tools expertise
