SUMMARY:
The Asitrade Wet-End Operator is responsible for the overall operation of the section of the Asitrade single-face laminator that makes the single-face liner.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE THE FOLLOWING:
* Prepare rolls of paper (for inside liner and medium) for placement into the single facer. Each station consists of two roll stands.
* Prepare splices of rolls of paper to ensure smooth transition during roll change.
* Make necessary adjustments to heat, tension, moisture of single face to minimize warp and ensure good adhesion of liner and medium.
* Clean and maintain flute roll cartridges to ensure unobstructed vacuum and for air operation in rolls (3 cartridges will be on this machine - 1b-Flute, 1E-Flute, 1F-Flute).
* Monitor temperature of rolls, starch adhesive, and moisture of liner to reduce variables on manufacture of single face.
* Adhere to routine maintenance spelled out in the Preventive Maintenance procedures.
* Assist dry-end operator and /or utility personnel as required.
* Responsible for the overall safety and cleanliness of equipment and area.
* Work in a safe and efficient manner in accordance with company policies and procedures.
* Overtime is required.
* Perform other duties as assigned.
The starting rate for this position is $ 17.00 an hour depending on your role, level and location.
