SEG is seeking enthusiastic candidates to be part of our threat missile modeling and simulation team. SEG provides an intellectually stimulating environment with excellent opportunities for technical and leadership growth. This position supports SEG’s Aerospace Branch which develops trajectory models and representations of adversary missile systems.  

What you will do...

Key responsibilities include:

Development of intelligence-based analytical models and tools to characterize and analyze threat ballistic missile, cruise missile, and hypersonic vehicle performanceDevelopment of aerodynamics, mass properties, propulsion, guidance, navigation and control inputs and modulesCharacterization of missile performance variation and uncertaintyModeling of threat missile excursions and execution of design trade studiesGeneration and evaluation of digital trajectory data using 6-DOF simulation toolsDocumentation and presentation of work to internal and external customersSupport of ongoing activities in developing a high fidelity Six Degrees-of-Freedom (6-DOF) digital flight simulation environmentPerforming research and augmenting toolsets to enhance modeling techniques and improve current processes Skills you will need...

 

Candidates must be US citizens with the ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret clearance (please ask if this is new to you)Candidates must possess a Bachelor of Science Degree in Aerospace Engineering (advanced degrees preferred)Candidates must possess at least 3+ years of work experienceCandidates should demonstrate experience and capability in one or more of the following areas: analysis and modeling of ballistic missile, cruise missile, and/or hypersonic systems including flight dynamics, vehicle performance characterization, propulsion system design, supersonic/hypersonic aerodynamics prediction, guidance, navigation, control, and flight test data analysisCandidates must be familiar with MATLAB and/or Python programming languagesCandidates must be able to communicate well through written documentation and oral presentations

Desired Qualifications:
