We have the opportunity for you !As an Aerospace Ground Equipment Mechanic II, you'll be inspecting, servicing, maintaining, testing and storing our aerospace ground service vehicles and equipment to support aircraft flight and maintenance operations. You'll perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on aerospace ground and service equipment (AGE), inspect, test, and operate AGE to determine equipment serviceability and proper operation, diagnoses mechanical and electronic circuitry malfunctions, remove, disassemble, repair, clean, treat for corrosion, assemble, and re-install AGE accessories and components. Your duties will also include providing dispatch services for AGE, including positioning equipment to support aircraft maintenance and flying operations, and preparing AGE for storage and mobility deployment.

Responsibilities:

Performs scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on aerospace ground and service equipment.Inspects, tests, and operates AGE to determine equipment serviceability and proper operation.Diagnoses mechanical and electronic circuitry malfunctions using visual and auditory senses, test equipment, and technical publications.Removes, disassembles, repairs, cleans, treats for corrosion, assembles, and re-installs AGE accessories and component.Services equipment with fuel, oil, coolant, water, hydraulic fluid, and air.Operates, cleans, inspects, and services AGE towing vehicles. Provides dispatch service for AGE, including positioning equipment to support aircraft maintenance and flying operations.Diagnoses malfunctions and repairs AGE.Advises and performs troubleshooting on AGE before assigning repair action. Inspects and approves completed maintenance actions.Prepares AGE for storage and mobility deployment.Solves repair problems by studying drawings, wiring diagrams and schematics, and technical publications.Uses automated maintenance system to monitor maintenance trends, analyze equipment requirements, maintain equipment records, and document maintenance actions.Analyzes and repairs ground support equipment using conventional and digital multimeters, voltmeters, ohmmeters, frequency counters, oscilloscopes, circuit card testers, transistor testers, and hand tools.Maintains external fuel and grounding systems.Stores, handles, uses, and disposes of hazardous material and waste according to environmental standards.Reads, interprets and complies with maintenance manuals, service bulletins, safety guidelines and other specifications.Performs complex maintenance, replaces and rebuilds components using hand tools, power tools, machines, and other equipment.Reviews and maintains maintenance forms and equipment records.Punctuality to work each day and prepared to work scheduled work hours

Qualifications You Must Have:

High School Diploma or GED equivalent and typically 2 or more years of relevant experienceA higher-level degree may substitute for experienceRelated experience may be considered in lieu of required educationExposure to technical schematics, diagrams, blueprints, manuals and/or publicationsBasic understanding technical schematics, diagrams, blueprints, manuals and/or publicationsBasic understanding of hardware and soldering techniques, technical data and everyday toolsKnowledge of the principles of electronics, refrigeration, hydraulics, power generation, reciprocating engines (gasoline and diesel), gas turbine engines, pneumatics and heatingSome skills in servicing, inspecting, troubleshooting, repairing and performing preventive maintenance on motor and engine-driven generator sets, air conditioners, hydraulic test stands, air compressors, bomb lifts, heaters and other similar support equipmentThe ability to obtain and maintain a Secret U.S. Security Clearance is required

Qualifications We Prefer:

Formal Technical training
FAA repair station and/or Quality Assurance experienceBackground in the Aerospace and Defense Industry, the US Department of Defense or US Military
