An aerospace manufacturing company located in Fife, WA is currently hiring for a Sr. Accountant who will be on track for promotion to the Controller role after 1-3 years depending on performance. This opportunity will be 100% onsite in the Fife location working Monday - Friday from 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM PST. Note that this opportunity will have around 45-55 work hours per week.
Pay: $90k/yr. - $110/k/yr.
Schedule: (8:00 AM - 4:30 PM PST; Standard M-F Morning Shift; 100% Onsite)

[Typical Day Responsibilities]
Maintain the general ledger, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies and GAAP.Prepare and review journal entries, reconciliations, and supporting documentation.Lead month-end and year-end close of accounts, including issuance of financial statements.Prepare daily/monthly financial and other reporting as well as ad-hoc analysis as required.Review and analyze CapEx requests and maintain fixed asset sub-ledger.Analyze and allocate manufacturing costs, establish standards, and review cost variances.Oversee accuracy in payroll operations, including timesheet reconciliation.Oversee accuracy in accounts payable and accounts receivable operations including reserves.Maintain inventory valuation and ensure accurate recording of inventory transactions.Verify monthly COGS accuracy.Work with the operations team to ensure accurate BOMs and routers for finished goods.Work with the commercial team to analyze and report on customer/part profitability.Work with all teams for forecasting and adherence to plans.Lead inventory cycle count program and reporting of results.Manage monthly/quarterly tax filings, annual business licenses, and property tax filings.
[Requirements]
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance. A CPA/CMA certification is a plus, but not required.3-5 years experience in a manufacturing or aerospace accounting/finance environment as an accountant.Must have ERP experience (high preference for Global Shop Solutions but open to other ERPs).In-depth knowledge of accounting principles and practices (GAAP).Comfortability working in a manufacturing environment.Comfortability working 45-55 hours a week as needed.Ability to maintain focus, adaptability, and task completion amidst interruptions.Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret financial data.High proficiency in Microsoft Office/Excel for financial analysis, reporting, and communication.Strong ethics and integrity in handling sensitive financial information.Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
[Work Environment]
Smaller office environment of 50 employees working 3x shifts.A large percentage of work time is spent in a machine shop where temperatures vary from hot to cold.The environment may also include exposure to noise, dust, fumes, vapor from coolant, etc.Industry-standard safety equipment is provided by the company, and specific notice is posted in areas where safety equipment is required.[Employee Value Proposition]
