As an AF DCGS Network Engineer, you will perform analysis on technical and system life-cycle approaches that support organizational objectives. You will conduct technical analysis on system integration and architecture issues and assist the AF DCGS team in managing computer, network, and telecommunications system integration, fielding, and network security accreditation of an evolving open architecture system.
As an AF DCGS engineer, you will assist in the generation of Command, Control, Communication, Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance (C4ISR) architectures, implementation strategies, engineering, and technical reports.
Responsibilities:
Responsible for defining and supporting the design, development and implementation of short- and long-term solutions to information technology needs through new and existing applications, systems architecture, and network systems and applications infrastructureOften involved in modifying or adapting existing designsReviews IT requirements and business processes; codes, tests, debugs and implements software solutionsRoles are often project based, delivering IT change within the business. Designs and develops IT architecture (integrated process, applications, data and technology) solutions to business problems in alignment with the enterprise architecture direction and standardsTakes responsibility for technical planning, architecture development and modification of specifications. Develops specifications for new products/services, applications and service offerings·Assesses the compatibility and integration of products/services proposed as standards in order to ensure an integrated architecture across interdependent technologiesActs as a resource for colleagues with less experience
Qualifications:
AF DCGS mission, operations and capabilities experience is a plus! Enterprise architecture, data flows, site capabilitiesAcquisition processes (1067, security, boarding activities) AF DCGS implementation requirementsNetworking experience (OSI model, protocols, data rates, circuit ordering)Active TS/SCI clearance required BS/BA + 10 years’ experience preferred; additional years experience in lieu of formal education may be considered

The likely salary range for this position is $114,750 - $155,250. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
