Job Description:
The Affiliate Customer Supply Lead’s primary role is to ensure Mars Petcare products are forecasted, ordered and shipped to Mars Affiliate across the World. This product will reach the retailer’s shelf when and where our pet parents need them by understanding and driving Service as measured by Service Level Agreement requirements. This role plays a vital internal role supporting Affiliate GSV growth and driving operational efficiencies. This role is the primary operational liaison between the Mars Affiliate and the Mars Petcare internal supply function and is expected to develop collaborative supply solutions through a strong understanding of freight forwarding, supply planning, inventory, transportation, ocean and air freight, commercial regulations, warehouse management, and continuous improvement practices. Effective influencing of the Affiliate partners, Quality Teams and our internal Supply teams is critical to the effectiveness of this role.
What are we looking for?
Minimum

Leads Affiliate collaboration process with a focus on quality, service metric improvements, product allocations, inventory analysis, and mutually beneficial, efficient supply chain solutionsPartner with the Customer Supply Operations Manager to support development of strategic end to end supply chain solutions for the Affiliate. Support implementation where applicable.Develops analysis and scorecards for communication to the Affiliate and key cross-functional/global teams to improve overall supply chain compliance and effectivenessDrive cost savings initiatives (Payload, Bob-Tail Costs) to reduce cost to serve and deliver LCC savings commitments for their Affiliates in charge.Develop & nurture business practices & processes with external stakeholders for sustainable business results, credibility, and integrity for future opportunities.Owns and manages Service Level Agreements, as well as Affiliate Metrics and provides proactive communication and robust action plans to mitigate service risks.Seek Quality, Supply & Demand Planning, Physical Distribution, CSR team and customer finance contacts for ordering & cash analysis to provide operational recommendations that are mutually beneficial for Mars and the Affiliate.Must effectively influence team members to gain support for replenishment and inventory management policies that maximize product availability at store level while minimizing inventory in the supply chainLeads supply chain joint business planning practices with Affiliate by managing weekly/monthly Operational and S&OP Business reviews.Manage the supply chain interdependencies between Affiliate, Demand Planning, Supply Planning, Regulatory and Quality.Ability to adjust, adapt, respond to, and be resourceful in the face of change to deliver business objectivesEvery associate at Mars has responsibility for the achievement of quality and food safety.
