Responsible for the affiliation process for 8 – 12 radio networks, functioning as the liaison between the networks and local radio stations.
Day and overnight travel to affiliate locations for prospect recruitment and affiliate retention.
Develop and maintain ongoing prospects across all networks.
Negotiate deal points for affiliate contracts including revenue, inventory, term, etc.
Maintain strong interpersonal relationships and communications with network affiliates.
Ensure affiliate compliance with network contract requirements.
Increase affiliate clearance of network products.
Qualifications:2+ years of experience working in local and/or network radio business or closely related field.
Knowledge of and the ability to understand and sell a diverse lineup of programming products including news, agriculture, sports, and lifestyle.
Excellent negotiation skills.
Highly organized, able to effectively prioritize and handle multiple tasks.
Exceptional interpersonal skills and the ability to interact proactively with staff and management across all levels and departments.
Ability to work independently and follow through on assignments with minimal direction.
Proven ability to maintain the highest level of professionalism and confidentiality.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability for day and overnight travel as necessary.
