Purpose of Role: Reporting to the Finance Director. The company is seeking to appoint an experienced Financial Controller to undertake all aspects of financial management including corporate reporting, annual statutory reporting, budget and forecast preparation, as well as development of internal policies and procedures. The role will have a strong commercial bias focusing on supporting the management team in ensuring that the business delivers profitable growth in line with our strategic initiatives. Strong communication, time management and organizational skills are a must.

Key Responsibilities:

Financial Operations Management:
Oversee accounting operations, including financial accounting, AP, AR, and Treasury.Liaise with external Shared Service Operations and partners.Timely and Accurate Reporting:
Manage the month-end process to deliver timely and accurate internal reports, including variance analysis.Ensure the completion of timely and accurate statutory returns and annual statutory accounts.Compliance and Internal Controls:
Keep up to date with technical compliance issues.Develop and maintain business processes, accounting policies, and testing plans to strengthen internal controls.Ensure compliance with the Weir Group policies and Code of Conduct.Process Improvement and Support:
Support working capital improvement initiatives, including supply chain financing.Assist with SAP enhancements across the Africa and EMEA region.Decision-Making Support:
Develop local reporting to improve decision-making using tools like Power BI.Handle other ad-hoc duties as assigned

Job Knowledge/Education and Qualifications:
· Any equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered for candidates that have the ability to perform the objectives above.
· Qualified accountancy qualification, CA or CIMA.
· Proven post-qualified experience in an international multi-site Manufacturing or operations based business.
· Must have previously held a title of Financial Controller or similar position.
· Integrated ERP system- SAP.
· Competent in using MS Office suite
