The Work
Lockheed Martin is looking for a highly analytical Operations Research Analyst to join our Operations Analysis (OA) team within the Rotary and Mission Systems (RMS) business area. In this role, you will support critical modeling and simulation development work, applying your expertise to complex military problems. Your contributions will directly influence the effectiveness of military systems by shaping new operational concepts, system designs, and tactics through data-driven analysis and simulations.
As a part of our team, you will:
Apply operations research techniques to develop and execute studies, refine analysis tools, and model military systems and scenarios.
Collaborate with internal stakeholders to define performance objectives aligned with mission goals.
Research military systems' performance, effectiveness, and operations to inform critical decision-making.
Develop and utilize tools for analyzing Measures of Effectiveness (MOEs) and Measures of Performance (MOPs).
Create detailed reports, briefings, and simulations to present your findings and recommendations to stakeholders.
Please note:
This position requires the ability to obtain and maintain DoD government security clearance at the Secret level.
This position requires up to 10% travel.

Basic Qualifications:
-Bachelors degree from an accredited college in Engineering, Mathematics, Operations Research, or Computer Science degree with 2 years professional experience or related Masters Degree with no experience.
-Knowledge of C++, Python, R, Excel VBA and/or constructive simulation tools.
-Experience using AFSIM.
-Must be a US Citizen; this position will require a DoD government security clearance at the Secret level. This position is located at a facility that requires special access.
This position requires the ability to travel up to 10%.
Desired Skills:
Military operational experience
Modeling & Simulation and/or Cameo/System Modeling Language (SysML) experience
Familiarity/experience with Operations Analysis tools such as System Tool Kit (STK), Command Professional Edition (PE), ExtendSim, and/or Cameo
Experience with Git/Gitlab

Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in California and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, Washington or Washington DC is $70,500 - $135,000. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate’s final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer. Benefits offered: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance, Short-Term Disability, Long-Term Disability, 401(k) match, Flexible Spending Accounts, EAP, Education Assistance, Parental Leave, Paid time off, and Holidays. (Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year. This position is incentive plan eligible.
