Position: After school program worker
Location: York Corps, 50 E King Street

Supervises: Volunteers, Students
Schedule: Part Time - Monday to Thursday 3 P.M to 8:00 P.M. Friday 3 P.M. to 6 P.M. (25 hours), school year
Reporting Relationship: Learning Center Director
Salary and Grade: $13.00 per hour; 71 Non-Exempt

ResponsibilitiesMinimum requirements:
High School Diploma or equivalentProficient in elementary math, grammar, and reading.One year of experience working with children in a learning environmentOrganized
Essential Duties and responsibilities
Implement the daily program that has been set while following the schedule.Supervise and ensure the safety and well-being of children at all times.Be alert to the needs and/or problems of the children as individuals and a group.Assist in the planning of age-appropriate programs to include activities and experiences that will contribute to each child’s growth and development.Communicate with parents by distributing monthly calendars and flyers announcing up and coming events.Maintain the organization of room, set up and clean up daily.Report any needs of repair within classroom, bathroom, or gym.Ability to keep confidential information.The above list of job duties is not exclusive or exhaustive and the candidate will be required to undertake such tasks as may reasonably be expected within the scope of the post.

Meets the Child Protection Clearances required by PA Act 153 to include PA Child Abuse History Clearance, PA State Police Criminal Record Check and FBI Criminal Record Check.Must have an understanding of and support for the Mission of the Salvation Army.
