Could you be the full-time hybrid Kitting and Validation Engineering Manager in Mississauga, ON, CA we’re looking for?

 

Your future role

We’ll look to you for:

Effectively communicate to upper management with KPIs, Presentations, Etc

Apply the knowledge to design, verify and validate parts solutions for over on 300 + contracts

You will actively participate and contribute to the aggressive growth of the Parts & Components business and reduce the back log.

Ensure all the parts proposal will be meeting the customer specifications in form, fit and function, railway safety, reliability, industrial norms, and standards.

Be thoroughly familiar with the project specification and its requirements relating to the electrical and mechanical design tasks for the group

Interface with the end customer via meetings, travel to site, and presentations.

Maintain the group’s knowledge of rail, mechanical  and electrical-electronic norms and standards such as FRA, AAR, IEEE, ANSI etc. with planned trainings and networking

Lead bids proposals to repair, redesign, and overhaul electrical equipment, printed circuit boards and in general electrical and electronics parts used in the rail industry.

Lead Process Improvement Initatives to optimize work flow for engineering requests and time to quote

You will be in a leadership role with multi-disciplinary teams with Customers, Rolling Stock Engineering, Project Management, Supply Chain, Operations, Finance, Auditors, Platform (Tenders, Reference Library, REX), Quality, Validation and Testing.

Excellent Communication Skills and leadership experience

Have experience more than 10 years  in rail industry standards and design or with similar industry products such as transportation vehicles, and/or high-low voltage equipment, and discrete electronic components.

Have experience more than 5 years  in Aftermarket , Reverse Engineering and/or Repair

Preferred

Project Management Experience

Knowledge of safety management systems and safety risk assessment.

Proficient in the use of mechanical and electrical/electronic design tools, MS Office, SAP, GSI, and Maximo (other ERP tools).

Knowledge of Alstom Design for Quality processes.
