The Fuel and Motion Control Systems Division of Eaton’s Aerospace Group has an opening for an Aftermarket Operations Manager. The position is based in Los Angeles, CA. The Los Angeles facility has approximately 300 employees and is a leader in the design, development, manufacturing and delivery of Aerospace hydraulic components, systems and services to the global aftermarket and OEM markets.
The expected annual salary range for this role is $138086.28 - $202526.54 a year. This position is also eligible for a variable incentive program.

What you’ll do:This role reports directly to the Aftermarket Director for FMC division, functionally to the plant manager and is responsible for all aspects of the aftermarket repair station including resource management, training, FAA compliance, work scheduling, process standardization. The role will drive the implementation of continuous improvement projects to improve key operational metrics and develop a high performance culture. This role will also support key growth initiatives, customer satisfaction, recovery plans and go to green initiatives."
Job responsibilities
The successful candidate will be able to do the following:
-Being able to obtain profit plan and forecasting targets by collaborating with other functions, such as Quality, Engineering, and Customer Service.
- Improve efficiency and turn around time (TAT) of repair station production processes including confirmation testing, tear down, assembly, and final testing.
- Develop and implement strategies to improve the Continuous Improvement culture.
-Ability to strategically work with and interact with Upper and Divisional Aftermarket Business Managers.
- Increase employee engagement and greatly focus on accountability to create a high performing culture.
- Improve velocity of material moving through the Repair Station.
- Responsible for product audits to verify compliance to Component Maintenance Manuals and other work instructions, which are critical to maintaining FAA and Customer approval.
- Maintain conformity to ITAR requirements.
- Lead, manage, and develop salaried and hourly staff.
- Maintain a working knowledge of product-support related data such as repair manuals, parts lists, service bulletins, price catalogs, etc. in order to provide customer support as well as to identify business opportunities.
- This role is responsible for the following key measures: Safety, Turn around time (TAT), Quality, Sales, On-Time Delivery, Productivity, First Pass Yield, and 5S+. Additional sub metrics of these key metrics are also included.
- Maintain cross-training program.
- Conduct audits per schedule (weekly/monthly as assigned).
- Participate in hourly and salary interviews.
