Aftermarket Sales Associate

The Aftermarket Sales Associate is responsible for profitable, proactive aftermarket revenue generation through a mix of sales calls leveraging our install base and hosting customers at Nordson EDI headquarters. The role will actively migrate our customer base (Top and Bottom) from Bottom to Top Products through creative, value-added initiatives and profitably maximize aftermarket revenue from our Top Customers while focusing on simplifying processes and offerings. The role will maintain and expand share-of-wallet at Top Customers and work closely to identify profitable growth opportunities within our customer base.

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIESSupports aftermarket part sales, providing quotations for engineered and spare parts, communicating with customers regularly in accordance with our NBS Next initiatives and policies (including minimum order values), and entering spare part orders (prioritizing Top Customer orders) into ERP system.Tracks and reports all aftermarket sales activities over the defined value using the CRM system.Using NBS Next data, creates detailed sales call plan leveraging our installed base database to ensure plan revenue and margin are achieved in the fiscal year.Proactively manages lead database to ensure prompt follow up and execution from lead to opportunity.For Top Customers, creates and maintains action plans to Win, Maintain and, where necessary, Recover lost aftermarket opportunities.Identifies growth opportunities that can generate sustainable, profitable growth, quantify, and report them to management for evaluation.Keeps simplification at the core of the role, and constantly look for ways to reduce non-value-added activities and reduce complexity.Creates customer quotes by reviewing specific blueprints, die design plans, and other customer documents.Provides customer service support to domestic and international customers and regional sales managers.Attends production scheduling meetings and provides technical support for manufacturing.Serves as a back-up for rework sales.Any other duties that may reasonably be assigned.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENT

Detail-oriented, self-starter with strong communication and organizational skills.  The successful candidate will have a proven ability to multi-task and work collaboratively as well as independently in a dynamic and entrepreneurial environment. The required qualifications for this position are as follows:

Strong product knowledge of dies, including 3-5 years of experience in a technical positionSeveral years of experience in consultative sales or a sales support role, or related experienceExcellent oral and written communication skillsDemonstrated accountability skills with customers, consistent follow through with customer requests and maintaining time commitmentsProficiency with Microsoft Office Products including Word, Excel and PowerPointExperience with CRM, such as C4C preferred

SKILLS & ABILITIESMust have strong people skills to interact with customers, suppliers and co-workers in a team-based environment.Must have the ability to manage multiple tasks and work independently with minimal direction.Must have good communication skills, including written, verbal, and listening.
