Joby Aviation is seeking an experienced Aftermarket Spares and Repairs Specialist to join our growing Aftermarket Support Engineering Team with a focus on developing our OEM Spares and Repairs support infrastructure as we prepare for the commercial launch of our S4 aircraft program. The position will be based in our Santa Cruz, CA location or another CA location pending approval. The role will actively work cross functionally with teams in Joby aviation including engineering, manufacturing, maintenance and operations to successfully deploy the Spares and Repairs strategies.
The Aftermarket Spares and Repairs Program Manager will be responsible for leading cross-functional activities to:
Develop and deploy long-term spares and repairs strategiesPrepare and prioritize spares requirements for the S4 fleetEnsure OEM related capabilities and documentation related to the relevant regulations are prepared and deployed Responsibilities Working with cross functional teams to manage and deploy OEM Spares and Repairs capabilitiesSupporting the organizational evolution towards development milestones as it pertains to repairs managementLeading the development of parts program response levels according to field needs (Ex: AOG, Urgent, Standard)Working with internal teams to establish IT infrastructure to support the Spares and Repairs functionsDeveloping workflows and procedures which meet short term and long-term scalable needsCollecting field feedback to drive effective ways of workingWorking with the manufacturing organization to ensure effective aftermarket support minimizing production impactsSupport materials coordination for fleet projects Required 5+ years’ experience in a spares/repairs product support functionTechnical diploma, AMP certificate or university degreeKnowledge or experience in aerospace repair processes (Part 145, Part 43) Ability to manage both short term urgent and long-term strategic projectsSelf-starter who is comfortable solving open ended problemsStrong understanding of spares support IT infrastructure (ERP)Ability to communicate and motivate stakeholders towards an end goalUnderstanding of commercial aspects of spares and repairs businessExperience in a highly regulated industry such as aerospace, pharma, battery UL cert etc Desired Experience working in an evolving organization (comfortable with change management procedures) Aircraft OEM experience Hands on logistics, technician experience or engineering preferred EEOCompensation at Joby is a combination of base pay and Restricted Stock Units (RSUs). The target base pay for this position is $111,300 - $186,900/year annually. The compensation package will be determined by job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
