We are hiring an Agency Delivery and Trade Analyst to join the Mortgage Capital Markets Agency Delivery and Trade Settlements team.
The Agency Delivery and Trade Analyst is responsible for delivering closed, held for sale mortgage loans to respective agencies (primarily FNMA, FHLMC, GNMA) for securitization and issuance in Agency MBS pools. This role will also be highly involved in trade entry and settlement, processing a broad array of transactions into the trade risk management system from TBA forwards to MBS sales to Futures & Options. Due to the sensitive and complex nature of this material, this position requires exceptional attention to detail and the ability to precisely follow documented, established procedures regarding loan certification, MBS pooling and settlement best practices.
Primary responsibilities include
+ Responsible for delivery of all loans allocated by Secondary Marketing for industry sales to agencies such as FNMA, FHLMC and GNMA. Basic knowledge of agency and custodial guideline requirements strongly preferred.
+ Responsible for reviewing, analyzing and correcting mortgage loan data errors to ensure MBS collateral information integrity while adhering to Capital Markets securitization delivery deadlines.
+ Responsible for entering trades into the risk management system, allocating pools to trades, reconciling daily transactions, and coordinating the settlement of mortgage-backed securities with Wall Street Dealers.
+ Manage the creation and distribution of TBA trade assignments as needed.
+ Manage all trade confirms and ensure that broker dealers provide timely and accurate responses.
+ Support the securitization pooling process to facilitate planned settlement cadence while tracking and managing specific collateral delivery strategies, especially with respect to specific agency collateral goals.
+ Communicate with trading and risk management teams to ensure maximum pooling execution efficiency and trade settlement accuracy.
+ Build loan delivery analytics and prepare and distribute daily, weekly, and monthly reporting.
+ Work closely with other groups to provide direction, input, and support regarding resolving loan data errors. These areas include, but not limited to: Post Closing, Citizen’s document custodian & settlement agent, Agencies & investors, Finance, and Servicing.
+ Must be flexible with the ability to multi-task while producing accurate, high-performance results.
+ To be successful in this role, the candidate must have a natural analytical way of thinking and be very detailed oriented.
Qualifications, Education, Certifications and/or Other Professional Credentials
+ Prior, successful experience working in a fluid, complex, deadline-driven environment highly valued.
+ Advanced Excel experience entailing extensive use of financial, lookup and logic functions; prior experience with VBA highly preferred.
+ Experience with SQL is preferred. (Will accept experience with another coding language in lieu of direct SQL experience)
+ Functional proficiency with Tableau highly valued
+ Prior mortgage experience, preferably in capital markets, secondary marketing, or loan delivery with a sound understanding of home mortgage products and processes.
+ Strong analytical and communication skills
+ Bachelor’s Degree
Hours & Work Schedule
+ Hours per Week: 40+ overtime as needed
+ Work Schedule: Monday – Friday (This position is located in Glen Allen, VA)
