Agency Lead, Consumer Lines

The position is responsible for establishing, driving and realizing the profit potential of Consumer Lines, focusing on A&H sales via various distribution channels including Agency, Branches, Franchise, Broking, Direct and ensures that any incidental sales are appropriately coordinated with underwriting guidelines. The position is accountable for top line achievement of annual targets and profitability of portfolio businesses managed.
Major duties and responsibilities
To plan, implement, drive and conduct revision for all marketing initiatives, develop appropriate marketing strategies and to implement action steps in achieving targeted results via Agency, Branches, Franchise, Broking and Direct distribution channels for all A&H products (PA, GPA, FWHS, H&S (Individual & Group), Travel, NAC) to ensure respective sales team deliver optimum results To review monthly forecast includes new and renewal business. To penetrate & identify new markets and promote a range of Group, Personal insurance products for A&H Lines of Business. This would include maximizing the distribution channel including initiating Sales Campaigns and sales incentive programs via Agency and Branches To initiate research studies on the analyses of market segmentation to identify future market opportunities and to develop marketing activities to fit new product strategy To develop, establish and foster relationships with key stakeholders – both agents and branches as identified and maintain market intelligence database – understanding & evaluating impacts and applying appropriate initiatives to businesses To manage and control expense budgets and costs on all marketing activities within stated budget To assist in development, design and rollout of marketing support system including the establishment of an agency focused support system which allows direct contact with agents in providing assistance and support To Co-ordinate, monitor and report on performance of identified schemes in conjunction with Underwriters with a dedicated focus on marketing, member penetration rates, GWP growth and administration Ensure that the Company’s business is conducted with full compliance with the Insurance Act and Regulations, all guidelines and circulars issued by Bank Negara Malaysia, and all relevant laws, rules and regulations affecting the Company’s business, including Anti Money Laundering and Counter Financing of Terrorism Act To coordinate and work effectively with other related business and product development units to achieve objectives Any other duties as assignedSkills
Strong business development skills. Sound underwriting knowledge. Strong conceptual and strategic planning abilities. Effective leadership, co-ordination and motivational skills. Strong understanding of business requirements, controlling the planning and implementation of alternative distribution channel opportunities. Good sense of market trends and its impact on current and future businesses Negotiation and dispute resolutions skills. Excellent interpersonal skills at various levels with good networking capabilities Ability to manage competing demands of multiple parties. Good mobility within the different states in MalaysiaExperience
minimum 3 years working experience in insurance industry
Qualifications
minimum degree holder, preferably insurance qualifications
