RESPONSIBILITIES:The Agent Support, Lead Specialist sets themselves apart as a resource to other people on the team. The Lead Specialist is seen as a mentor to the team who will assist in resolving escalated phone calls and inquiries, train new employees, and identify/coordinate ongoing educational and training opportunities for existing team members.
Responsible for handling calls from the High Priority ISO (Independent Sales Organization) group and escalation calls
Additional projects may be assigned by the Agent Support Manager
Assist Agent Support Specialists and Maintenance Support Specialists with training and escalated call resolution
Identify and coordinate ongoing educational/training opportunities for existing team members
Encourage open communication by listening attentively and actively
Run and distribute reports for other departments and ISO's as assigned
Assist with all other responsibilities assigned to the Agent Support and Maintenance Support groups as needed
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS: (Required)
HS/GED AND 4 years of related experience, OR Associates Degree and 2 years related experience
Strong understanding of customer service skills for internal and external customers
Must be 18 years of age or older
Understand risk management, operations departments and other Deluxe departments in order to accurately deliver information to outside reps
Working knowledge of the POS equipment supported by Deluxe Merchant Services
Understand complex merchant issues, determine the appropriate course of action, and follow through to ensure satisfactory resolution
Present complex information in a clear and concise manner
