Job Summary:

The Agent Support Specialist will provide administrative and customer service support to our agent group, internal employees and outside vendors. The Agent Support Specialist will also assist in the on-boarding process of our new agents.

Essential Functions:

On-boarding new agents that are joining Cardinal Logistics Providing agents with insurance certifications when needed Building and maintaining relationships with the Agents Assist agents in coordinating movement of goods from shipper to destination within parameters required by customer Improve on processes on programming and marketing. Systems training for all new agents. Confirming carriers are legally permitted to transport freight, commodities, weight and dimensions Maintaining a consistent sense of urgency to ensure freight is moved promptly and accurately Run point of interactions between agents and the AR/AP staff As a Cardinal Logistics Representative, you will be expected to create a pleasant atmosphere for employees, customers, carriers and other vendors to ensure that Cardinal Logistics is an easy and pleasurable company to do business with Assisting agents with intra-company needs, ensuring processes and policies meet and exceed their needs to facilitate their clients' shipping needs. Maintaining a consistent sense of urgency to ensure agents can promptly react and respond to their clientele Social Media and marketing - posting agent ads in free publications, agents post, sharing agent focused events and recognition. Weekly agent reporting Other duties as assigned

 

Qualifications:

High School Diploma or equivalent Minimum 1-2 years of experience in a customer service or logistics operations role Prior logistics and supply chain experience preferred Proficient in Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint as well as being able to adapt to other internal operating systems Must be detail oriented Ability to communicate professionally, effectively and efficiently via phone, fax and email Must have excellent customer service and interpersonal skills – verbal and written EEO/AA/M/F/VETS/DISABLED Other details Pay Type Salary Required Education High School
